Spring 2006 Maryland Masters Lacrosse League Update!!!! -- ONLINE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE SOON!!!
Game Info:
Our games will be held on Friday nights, again, this year. The league schedule is not finalized yet, but the first game will likely be held on 10 March. The season will end in early part of June. Game starting times will be between 7 and 9 p.m., typically. There will be twelve or thirteen masters lax teams in the league this year. We will have three divisions. (We had ten teams and two divisions last year.)
(Note - There will be no lax games on the Friday of Memorial Day holiday weekend.) We will email the MMLL schedule when it is finalized.
Directions to the fields will be available at www.breakerslax.com/locations.php. Directions will also be available on the MMLL web site.
We’ll try to identify a local watering hole prior to each game where our players and their family, friends, etc. can meet after that game.
Roster:
- Players need to be 35 (in 2006) or older.
- We need updated data if anything changed from last year.
- Make sure your US Lacrosse Membership and number are up-to-date.
- We need birth dates, telephone numbers and positions.
Dues:
The dues will be $90 per player this year. The team is fronting the dues for the league, so please register ASAP to avoid being left off the team. (This year, your dues includes one pair of Breakers Lacrosse game shorts and possibly a team jacket)
(Also, we are not sure if the MMLL will make a league tee shirts this year, but we will find out soon.)
Game Jerseys:
We will reuse our maroon and white team jerseys from last year. We’ll issue and collect the jerseys at each game as in past years.
Registration:
This year we will also be accepting Breakers team registration for the 2006 spring season ONLINE. On January 16th, you will simply fill out the online registration form and you will be redirected to a PayPal secure payment site where you can pay the regiatration fee by credit card.
As in past years, you will still need to provide a photocopy of your drivers license and a US Lacrosse membership card by mail to Kurt.
US Lacrosse Membership:
Every player must be a member of US Lacrosse.
The Membership to US Lacrosse is a Maryland Master’s Lacrosse League and Anne Arundel County Parks Department requirement for insurance reasons. The insurance covers you, the league and the county if something happens.
Our league wouldn’t be able to use the fields without complying to this requirement. You won’t be able to play without it. You can register or renew your membership at http://www.lacrosse.org.
Additional league and rules information is available on the league web site: http://marylandmasterslax.org.
