BREAKERS go a respectable 2-2 at this year's Laxtoberfest!!!

Arnold, MD -

Well what a difference a day makes in the life of the Breakers!

With decent, but unsuccessful offensive showings in two games on Saturday (8-3 to Shore Steamers and 6-3 to Bad Backs), your beloved Breakers were in danger of posting another bagel for their efforts in this year's Laxtoberfest tournament...

But the boys really came out to play on Sunday, taking a 6-4 victories from Claddagh's Pub (Laxworld) and Die Hards, to up their final tournament record to 2-2! Go Breakers!!!

Despite the losses on Saturday, the defense played well and even our newest Breaker, Art Zito notched his first goal on a sweet fast break pass.

Mikey Hallman had a great, LEFT-HANDED rip on Sunday, along with Frankie LeQuang tearing it up too on attack to spark an offensive resurgence that saw the guys hold off two late comeback trys to win out the last two games in the sweltering Indian Summer-like October weather.

As you can see below,,, Tad got into it with our friends from the Laxworld squad - again - only further fueling the rivalry.

Timmy Bell went coast-to-coast a few times and banged a sweet off-angled over-the-shoulder goal against Die Hards in the final game on Sunday.

Hafta give props out to big-time Stevie B for his valliant efforts both days (his coming back on Sunday to anchor our faceoffs really payed off). Even though you stepped on your own leg and injured yourself, if I had a gameball I would've gladly given it to you my friend!

All-in-all, it was a really fun weekend (I myself, had a bit too much fun on Saturday night - into Sunday morning at the team party at Snyders),,, but all-in-all,, another wonderful Breakers event.

Special thanks to Will's better half, Maureen Stumme, who took all these pictures,, and you can see plenty more of her (and his) photograpic handy work on WILLSPIX !!
